Defining a sustainable future for your business. Change the way your business makes, uses and discards products with the Circular Economy Maturity Assessment (CEMA).
Consulting related to Business Consultancy in the context of Manufacturing
Scope
At HSSMI, we understand that your business is under a lot of pressure to be commercially and operationally successful in a challenging environment—resource scarcity and price volatility, high customer requirements, customer perception of brand, and changing legislation, to name a few. We believe the circular economy is one of the frameworks a business can use to future-proof itself against potential challenges. Circular economy is not a nice-to-have. Conversely, a good circular economy strategy should not add to existing tasks and take away from a business’s main purpose.
The Circular Economy Maturity Assessment is a unique market offering, which differentiates from the competition in two respects:
The strategic focus, i.e. it takes into account the specific strategic priorities of your business;
Tangible manufacturing aspects such as waste, energy, packaging, product design, freight efficiency, which have the potential to create a real impact on your business.
HSSMI’s CEMA is a unique process aimed at business leaders and ESG / CSR professionals who are struggling with these problems:
Our business has sustainability, circular economy, or net zero targets but isn’t sure how to implement them;
Our business has sustainability, circular economy, or net zero targets but isn’t sure how to assess and measure progress or assign KPIs;
Our business is under pressure to demonstrate we have a sustainability plan but we don’t know how to go about putting one together yet;
Our ESG / CSR / sustainability team is struggling to get the necessary senior-level buy-in on sustainability activities.
Approach
The CEMA process is comprised of four key components - identifying the current and future state; identifying business and circular economy priorities; detailed roadmapping; and implementation support. It is best delivered in-person with senior executives and leaders within a business, spanning as many divisions as possible, such as production, procurement, after-sales, finance, and HR. If necessary, it is possible to adapt and deliver the CEMA online as well.
Outcome
As part of conducting a Circular Economy Maturity Assessment of your business, you can expect to receive:
Training material on circular economy;
Completed circular economy maturity assessment, with current and future state scores and prioritised elements identified;
Visual representation of CEMA status on radar charts;
CEMA roadmaps in both simple (project titles, named project lead and timing) and detailed formats;
Final report summarising process and results.
